A few hours before the Nuoro municipal council which this afternoon at 6pm is called to vote on the final budget already rejected on May 16th with the decree of the regional councilor for local authorities Francesco Spanedda, which is looming and without a positive vote could lead to dissolution of the municipal council and the arrival of a commissioner, comes the resignation of the municipality's tourism manager Roberto Del Rio who "renounces the task of organizing the Europade".

This morning Del Rio communicated the decision to the mayor Andrea Soddu and to the secretary that «the conditions for achieving the objectives of a safe and welcoming city have failed - he writes - to renounce the task of organizing the 59th festival of 'Europeade and because the provisional management does not provide sufficient financial provisions." According to the manager, there is no administrative time to welcome the thousands of representatives "the delay which has accrued, finally, does not allow for any favorable expectations regarding the authorizations of the relevant police and public security authorities".

The opposition with the councilors Gianni Dettori, Narciso Guria, Natascia Denurtas, Carlo Prevosto, Lisetta Bidoni, Marianna Palumbo, Francesco Mattu, Claudia Fadda, Francesco Guccini and Fabrizio Melis attack Soddu in a note : «The resignation of the manager Roberto Del Rio from the Europaade organization - of which we received news this morning - truly write the epitaph of this administrative experience led by Andrea Soddu. From those lines - they claim - all the bitterness shines through for a project born alone by the mayor , never shared with the municipal council or with the city and managed without conviction by the council. The people of Nuoro must therefore know that the attempt to pass on the possible failure to organize the festival to those who were not aligned with Soddu - and would not have voted for the budget forecast - failed! Even by approving the accounting document today, the guilty delay accumulated by the Council - which, we remember, should have brought the documents to the Council first by the end of the year and then by the end of March - no longer allows the event to take place which would have brought many benefits to the city of Nuoro and to the territory. What else needs to happen for the city to declare the administrative experience of this council closed? Political dignity and self-respect should recommend the irrevocable resignation, this time real, of the mayor and his council."
