Esperino Giobbe, beaten to death in Orotelli: his nephew sentenced to 22 years

Twenty-two years' imprisonment. After more than two hours in closed session, this is the sentence imposed by the Nuoro court of Assizes presided over by Mauro Pusceddu (alongside Luisa Rosetti) against Gian Michele Giobbe , accused of the crime of his uncle Esperino , the 73-year-old farmer killed on 17 October 2020 in his company of su Filighe in Orotelli in October 2020.

The motive was due to a family land where the victim worked with his grandchildren .

Prosecutor Andrea Jacopo Ghironi had requested life imprisonment . The defendant is assisted by the lawyers Lorenzo Soro and Mario Pittalis, the wife and daughters of the 73-year-old are instead represented by Gianfranco Flore and Giuseppe Mocci.
