Fatal accident shortly after 1.30 pm on the provincial road that leads from Escalaplano to Ballao . The victim is a 46 - year - old German motorcyclist . The dynamics of the accident are under investigation.

The motorcycle crashed head-on into a truck . Timely help. The ambulance of the Young Volunteers of Ballao was passing in the street, shortly after the 118 of Escalaplano intervened. The situation immediately appeared so critical that it required the intervention of the Echo Lima 1 air rescue service which took off from the Alghero base. Attempts to revive the woman were useless .

Also on site were the carabinieri from the Jerzu company, the local police from Escalaplano and the firefighters from the San Vito detachment.
