The Public Prosecutor of Sassari has opened an investigation into the death of Ernesto Peano , a 66-year-old construction contractor from Sassari who died last night after falling from the roof of a shed on a farm near Stintino.
The man yesterday morning was making an inspection in the structure a stone's throw from the Le Saline beach, where he should have started maintenance work: he climbed on the roof of the shed to take measures, he crashed for reasons to be ascertained, making a flight of four meters .
His condition immediately appeared desperate, the 118 team arrived on the spot and requested the intervention of the helicopter rescue to transport him urgently to the Santissima Annunziata in Sassari. There he died , in the intensive care unit of the hospital, last night.
The investigations coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office are carried out by the carabinieri of the Stintino Station and the Company of Porto Torres, in collaboration with the inspectors of the Spresal.
