Lured, drugged and robbed. The victim was an elderly man from Loiri Porto San Paolo, a 34-year-old German woman with a criminal record was arrested for the episode.
It happened last March 19 in Azzanì. The woman lured the man via Whatsapp and convinced him to have lunch together at his home. Then she poured benzodiazepines into the water and, when the man fell asleep, she took the elderly man's cell phone, a gold necklace and 300 euros in cash. Then she left with the complicity of a young man and boarded the Olbia-Livorno ferry that same evening.
The elderly man woke up after hours in a state of confusion and was taken to the hospital in Olbia, where the presence of benzodiazepines in his blood was ascertained.
The investigations were carried out by the Carabinieri of the Loiri Porto San Paolo Station, who were able to trace the person responsible also thanks to the images from the video surveillance cameras. The 34-year-old was tracked down yesterday by the Carabinieri of the Bastia Umbra Station, in the Perugia area, arrested and taken to the Perugia prison "Capanne", where she remains awaiting the validation hearing.
