Acquitted because the fact does not exist . This is the sentence issued today in court in Sassari by judge Claudia Sechi, for the doctors Eugenio Martelli, Franco Piredda, Maria Antonietta Casu, Anastasia Gabriella Tucconi, Roberto Mancino, Sandro Ciccarello, Salvatora Dettori, Pierluigi Tilocca, Gianfranco Fadda, accused of manslaughter in the medical field .

The nine professionals were accused of having contributed to the death of 73-year-old Carlo Dessole, who lost his life in hospital in Sassari due to the consequences of a ruptured aneurysm .

Today in court the replies were held in which the prosecutor Paolo Piras reiterated the responsibility, in his opinion, of six doctors while for three others he confirmed the request for acquittal . For the magistrate the surgery had been done late . At the end of the sentence , Dessole's widow commented: "My husband has died a second time".

The defense lawyers are Francesco Porcu, Guido Datome, Filippo Orecchioni, Salvatore Porcu, Amedeo Mandras, Sebastiano Chironi, Luigi Esposito, Gianluigi Poddighe, Carlo Pinna Parpaglia, Ivano Iai, Stefano Mandras.
