A 37-year-old from Selargius, unemployed and with previous charges against him, was reported yesterday by the local carabinieri for driving under the influence of alcohol.

The man, after having become the protagonist of an accident in via Trieste while driving his own car, subjected to a blood alcohol test in the hospital in Monserrato, tested positive with a BAC of 1.47 grams per liter, almost three times the limit maximum allowed.

The man's driver's license has been withdrawn.

The Public Prosecutor's Office and the Prefecture of Cagliari have been informed for the aspects of their competence.
