Technical investigations are expected to be completed within a month on the cell phones seized by the Carabinieri on July 23, in the hours following the wounding of Michela Rubiu, who was hit in the head by a bullet fired from the gun held by her husband, Alessandro Pintus, 39, at the entrance to the bar on Via “Al Mare” in Solanas, a seaside district of Sinnai, and the murder of Andrea Pintus, 42, who was killed with the same weapon in Quartu half an hour later.

A journey of death that had its sad epilogue a week ago when the 47-year-old woman stopped fighting in the intensive care unit of Brotzu Hospital, where she had been hospitalized since day one, without ever regaining consciousness.

The analysis

Attention is now turning to the outcome of checks on the contents of the approximately ten cell phones seized by the military from Quartu and the Cagliari Investigative Unit, who are handling the matter together with specialists from the RIS.

The task entrusted to forensic consultant Andrea Cappai is to extract from the cell phones any information that could be useful, primarily in tracing a possible motive for the double homicide.
