"He had an exaggerated reaction, the situation was already calm when the carabinieri arrived," explains Alberto Serra, president of the La Fenice Domus de Maria club. "During the match there had been an initial confrontation during a throw-in, then for another episode our player had been sent off. When he returned to the locker room, at the end of the match, he was miming the episode in question and the referee thought he had kicked him ."
The referee, just over 30 years old, refused the assistance of 118 and declared that he wanted to reserve the right to file a complaint . The Carabinieri identified those present and collected the first testimonies, and the player (46 years old) was charged with aggravated battery. At a sporting level, however, the Sports Judge's statement is awaited.
