Taps are running dry throughout the town of Dolianova due to a collapsed section of the water main on Via Leopardi, in the southern part of the town.

The burst pipeline, which occurred late yesterday evening, opened a deep hole in the asphalt . Crews from Abbanoa and the Cagliari Fire Department arrived on the scene and cordoned off the area. To stem the massive water leak and allow technicians to carry out repairs, the reservoir on the San Sebastiano hill was closed. The town was left without water for hours, causing considerable inconvenience to those who had to commute to work early that morning. The situation returned to normal only in the late morning.
