In Sardinia, as in the rest of Italy, the drop in gasoline prices and the increase in diesel excise duties have, in effect, reversed the normal trend that saw the cost of a full tank of unleaded fuel higher than that of diesel.
Diesel fuel currently costs more than petrol (which stands at €1,650 per litre), and the average price has reached €1,680 per litre, among the highest in Italy.
In Calabria, diesel costs the same, in Liguria it costs 2 cents more, it reaches 1.69 in Val d'Aosta and, respectively, 1.70 and 1.73 in the autonomous provinces of Trento and Bolzano.
This is what emerges from the averages calculated today at 8 a.m. by MIMIT (Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy) on the pump prices on the motorway and other state roads: on the island, the gap between the price of diesel and petrol is now 3 cents per litre.
According to the data provided, there was a decrease of 0.6 euro cents in the gap between the variation in the price of diesel fuel.
