Four Italian boaters in difficulty aboard floating boards were rescued after having gone too far out into the sea of the Gulf of Asinara . They were on board their SUP - Stand up paddle and were unable to return to land due to adverse weather conditions.

They were rescued in the late afternoon by the Coast Guard of Porto Torres who sent a patrol boat to the scene . The SAR operation began around 6.20 pm, when the operations room of the Turritana port authority received a request for help on the emergency number (079-515151) from four boaters, who on board their boards, in difficulties they were forced to find shelter on Isola Piana .

The Captaincy operations room sent the Cp810 unit to the area, specialized in search and rescue operations. Despite the particularly unfavorable weather conditions due to the strong wind in the affected area, the Coast Guard soldiers managed to bring the four unfortunates to safety, who are in good health.
