Dermatitis alert, Sant'Efisio unknown in Cagliari: without oxen, would the statue be carried to Capoterra?

In Cagliari, new outbreaks of bovine dermatitis threaten to cause significant changes to the traditional procession of Sant'Efisio . Today, the Local Health Authority and the Region will lift the restrictions on the quarantine imposed on cattle, currently until April 30. If extended, a "Plan B" could be adopted to transport the statue on its pilgrimage: a sedan chair to Capoterra or a van to Nora and back.
