A 60-year-old woman from Sassari was sentenced to eight months of imprisonment, suspended sentence, for threats expressed on Facebook against Don Massimo Biancalani, the parish priest of Vicofaro in Pistoia who for years has welcomed over a hundred migrants.

The sentence was issued by the Pistoia court.

The woman was also sentenced to compensate the parish priest for 5 thousand euros, which is linked to the suspension of the sentence.

The woman has no ties with Don Biancalani or with Pistoia, she met the parish priest's community in the national news and matured a resentment that resulted in heavy insults and even death threats on social media to the priest, who has become a symbol of the welcome with which he often and willingly he also argued Matteo Salvini.

The 60-year-old from Sassari in order not to be identified would have even created a false profile. And this is a first sentence, others could follow since Don Biancalani has made it known that there are about forty proceedings open for defamation.
