Day of fires in Capoterra . The first fire broke out this morning in the countryside, in the Sa Guardia Longa area, at the gates of Poggio dei Pini .

A very large fire that struck and destroyed eight hectares of olive groves, vineyards, bushy pastures and eucalyptus trees . The flames, blown by the strong wind from the south, also threatened greenhouses and rural houses.

The intervention of the Forestry helicopter which took off from the Pula base was essential for taming the stake , while several teams operated on the ground: two from the Civil Protection Santa Barbara Capoterra, one from Misericordia, two from Grusap (Gruppo Salvaguardia Ambiente Poggio dei Pini) , two of the Fire Brigade and two patrols of the Forestry Corps.

In the afternoon another fire broke out at the entrance to the town, in the locality of Tanca Manna .
