Twelve civil servants will have to return 5.6 million euros to the state. According to what was ascertained by the Financial Police of Cagliari which reported them to the Court of Auditors, this amount is the damage to the Treasury caused in their functions.
They are, explained by the Fiamme Gialle, "of public officials, employed at different levels and in various tasks in multiple sectors of the public administration".
Under the spotlight of Finance, which in recent months under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor's Office has conducted numerous verification activities, various public sectors have ended up: from healthcare, to municipal administrations, up to that linked to gaming concessions. .
"In these different contexts, and in some particular circumstances, the unlawful conduct uncovered - explain the financiers -: from cases of absenteeism disguised with stamping done by colleagues, to neglect and consequent wear and tear of goods of public interest; from delays in the payment of health services to unjustified renewals of concessions for urban sanitation services, to failure to pay Lotto bets ".
Now the 12 will have to compensate the damage caused to the state coffers and they will be subjected to seizures of properties, land, cars, motorcycles, current accounts, savings books and securities.
