Serious accident on the 131 dcn, inside the “Siniscola sud” tunnel in the direction of Olbia .

Three cars were involved in a violent crash, the causes of which are yet to be ascertained: four people were injured .

A couple of young German tourists on board a Toyota Aygo were taken to the hospital in Olbia with numerous injuries, the girl who was driving was the worst off. Also in the hospital were two boys from Nuoro who were travelling in a Fiat Panda: the young man driving the vehicle, from Orune, is in serious conditions and was airlifted to Sassari . A third car, a Ford s-max, was only partially involved, on board which no injuries were reported.

On site were the Highway Police, the 118 personnel (the Budoni base, the Olbia helicopter rescue and the Siniscola “mike”), the Firefighters who extracted two injured people from the passenger compartment (the German girl and the young Sardinian driver of the Panda) and the Anas personnel, working to restore traffic flow as soon as possible.

The entire tunnel was closed in both directions , traffic diverted to the towns of Siniscola and Posada.
