Luciano Silingardi , an emilian accountant sentenced definitively to 5 years and 9 months in prison for Crac Parmalat , died this morning in Sardinia , where he was spending his holidays. He was 82 years old.
Fatal for the former president of Cariparma (from 1987 to 2000) and former president of the Cariparma foundation (from 1991 to 2004), it would have been a fall, which occurred last Thursday in the hotel, after which he would have hit his head . Then the hospitalization, where he died.
Silingardi resigned from Cariparma in 1994 , because he was involved in the Parmalat scandal, of which he was a member of the board.
The final sentence came in 2014. Siligardi obtained house arrest because he was over seventy.
