Data on coronavirus in Sardinia are decreasing with numbers that, in the week between 1 and 7 June, still record an improvement in the epidemiological curve as regards the currently positive per 100 thousand inhabitants, which are 736.

The Gimbe Foundation report highlights the 10.7 percent drop compared to the previous week. For the provinces - again on the new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last seven days - Cagliari recorded 374 (- 5.6% compared to the previous week), South Sardinia 373 (- 6.8%), Oristano 344 (- 20, 1%), Nuoro 244 (- 18.1%), Sassari 146 (-14.4%).

And the beds occupied by Covid patients in the medical area remain below the national average (5.5%), while the beds in intensive care are above the national average (3.4%).

On the vaccine front, the percentage of the over 5-year-old population that has not received any dose is 8.1% (Italy average 6.9%) to which the over-5-year-old population is temporarily protected, as it has been cured for less. 180 days, equal to 3.8%.

The percentage of the over 5-year-old population that has not received the third dose of vaccine is 8.6% (Italy average 10.7%) to which the over-5-year-old population recovered for less than 120 days must be added, which cannot receive the third dose immediately, equal to 7.5%.

Finally, the vaccination coverage rate with fourth dose (immunocompromised people) is 38.2% (Italy average 36.2%); the vaccination coverage rate with fourth dose (over 80, RSA guests and frail 60-79 people) is 6.1% (Italy average 17%); the population 5-11 who completed the vaccination cycle was 43.1% (Italy average 34.7%) to which a further 4.4% (Italy average 3.4%) must be added with the first dose only.
