"The data arrived from the mass screening are serious, the situation is disastrous." With these words Marco Corrias, mayor of Fluminimaggiore, commented on the latest data on Covid in the Iglesiente country, made even more worrying by the fact that for ten days the Municipality is the red zone .

To date, there are 102 new positive cases, which are added to the 82 already detected.

For this reason, the mayor announced on Facebook that the lockdown will be maintained: "Having also heard the opinions of our two family doctors, and the Public Hygiene Directorate, we have decided to extend the red zone until 15 December, with the closing of the cemetery, quota restrictions on entry into commercial premises, absolute ban on leaving the country except for work or health reasons ”, explained Corrias. Adding: “We then agreed with the parish priest Don Gianfranco also the reduction of religious services to a minimum. Public security controls will be strengthened and offenders sanctioned by law. The situation is dramatic, so I invite everyone to collaborate ", concludes the mayor.

The ordinance that had declared the red zone for 10 days was signed on 25 November last and provided for distance learning and the closure of bars, restaurants, hairdressers, gyms, with mandatory masks even outdoors.
