Covid infections are decreasing in Sardinia (yesterday there were over 3,131, today almost a thousand fewer), but in the last 24 hours there have been another 7 victims, given that brings the total deaths from coronavirus on the island since the beginning of the pandemic to 2,174.

With over 12,200 swabs performed, the positivity rate remains at 18%. On the other hand, the number of patients admitted to hospital is decreasing.

Here is the official bulletin issued by the Region on Wednesday 23 March 2022: “In Sardinia there are today 2,225 further confirmed cases of Covid positivity (of which 1794 diagnosed as antigenic). A total of 12,245 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic.

The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 18 (- 1).

The patients admitted to the medical area are 322 (- 8).

29306 are the cases of home isolation (+188).

There are 7 deaths: two 87-year-old women, residing respectively in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari and in the province of South Sardinia; two women aged 76 and 82 and a man aged 97, residing in the province of Oristano; a 67-year-old woman residing in the province of Sassari and another person residing in the province of Nuoro ".
