Over 1,300 new Covid infections in Sardinia, where the virus unfortunately claims another five victims in 24 hours.
The number of patients admitted to intensive care is increasing, while with over 11 thousand swabs performed in 24 hours the positivity rate is 12%.
Here is the full bulletin issued by the Region on Saturday 19 February 2022: “In Sardinia today there are 1355 further confirmed cases of COVID positivity (of which 1081 diagnosed as antigenic). A total of 11285 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic.
The patients admitted to the intensive care units are 28 (+2).
The patients admitted to the medical area are 371 (like yesterday).
35773 are the cases of home isolation (-54).
There are 5 deaths: 1 83-year-old man residing in the province of Sassari; 3 women aged 75, 91 and 93, residing in the province of Southern Sardinia, and 1 man aged 92 residing in the Metropolitan City of Cagliari ".
