Curve of infections from Covid-19 still improving in Sardinia : in the week from 7 to 13 September there was an improving performance for currently positive cases per 100 thousand inhabitants (361) and there was a decrease in new cases (- 18.2 %) compared to the previous week. This is what the Gimbe foundation notes in the usual weekly report.
The new cases per 100 thousand inhabitants in the last week, divided by province, are 196 in Nuoro (-1% compared to the previous week), 175 in Oristano (-19.1%), 131 in Southern Sardinia (-26.8% ), 128 in Cagliari (-20.6%), 113 in Sassari (- 17.5% compared to the previous week).
With regard to hospitalizations , beds in the medical area remain below the national average (4.7%) while the beds in intensive care (2.5%) occupied by coronavirus patients are above the national average .
VACCINES - As regards the vaccination campaign, the percentage of the Sardinian population over 5 years that has not received any dose of vaccine is equal to 10% (Italy average 9.8%) to which the temporarily protected over 5 year old population must be added. as she was cured of the virus for less than 180 days, equal to 2%.
