Covid, almost 2,800 infections and 4 deaths on the island: more than 40 thousand Sardinians in home isolation

Another 2,796 infections are registered in Sardinia today according to the data of the Crisis Unit, among these 2,579 have been diagnosed as antigenic. Yesterday there were 3,087.

With 8,924 molecular and antigenic swabs processed in the last 24 hours, the positivity rate stands at 31.3% .

The victims in the last 24 hours are four , yesterday there were five. Two women aged 91 and 99 resident in the Nuorese area, two men aged 78 and 84 resident respectively in South Sardinia and in the province of Sassari.

The number of patients admitted to the medical area increased by 15 , totaling 170. In the intensive care unit there are 8, one less than yesterday.

The Sardinians positive for the virus and in home isolation exceed 40 thousand , they are 40,330 to be precise, +967 compared to yesterday's figure.
