Another 250 cases of Covid are registered today in Sardinia according to the latest update of the regional crisis unit. With 3,706 people tested and 9,545 molecular and antigenic swabs processed in total, the positivity rate stands at 2.6%.
No new victims of the virus have been detected in the past 24 hours, while hospitalizations are growing in all wards.
There are eight patients in intensive care, two more than yesterday's figure. The Covid positives hospitalized in non-critical wards are instead 109 (+21 compared to yesterday's bulletin).
The Sardinians in home isolation amounted to 3,344, 54 more than the figure 24 hours ago.
On 15 December 2020, exactly one year ago, there were 231 infections (19 fewer than today). But that day as many as twelve Sardinians lost their lives to the virus, and the numbers in hospitals were much more alarming, with 570 patients in non-critical wards and 58 in intensive care. And it is above all on the victims and on the hospitalizations that the undeniable effect of vaccinations can be seen.
