All on trial, including the parliamentarian and former governor Ugo Cappellacci accused of corruption, and the regional councilor Alessandra Zedda. There is no place to proceed instead for the liquidator Carlo Alberto Zualdi and Fabio Sanna, defended by the lawyers Gianmario Sechi and Roberto Nati.

This is what was decided by the judge of the preliminary hearings Giorgio Altieri in the trial also for embezzlement, bankruptcy and forgery that sees politicians, accountants and entrepreneurs under accusation. Appointment on May 19 in front of the judges of the second criminal section for the former president of the Region, the current councilor Zedda, Roberto Bonanni (manager of the Zernike company around which the whole investigation of the prosecutors Diana Lecca and Emanuele Secci revolves), accountants Piero Sanna Randaccio and Antonio Graziano Tilocca, Flavio Mallus, director of FM (defended by the lawyer Annamaria Busia), and the accountant Sergio Vacca (accused only of false attestations).

The “Zernike Meta Venture capital”, won the tender under the center-right administration, managed the public fund “Ingenium Sardegna”, 17 million euros to invest in innovative companies. In the reconstruction of the Guardia di Finanza, 750 thousand euros had been paid to the company "Metallic Manufactures", deemed to lack the requisites envisaged by the Por tender and, above all, in exchange for the alleged passage of a bribe of 80 thousand euros to Cappellacci's benefit in 2013. Zedda at the time she was regional councilor for industry (defended by the lawyer Agostinangelo Marras, she is accused of embezzlement). Cappellacci is assisted by the lawyer Guido Manca Bitti. According to the accusations, the FM was in a "state of instability", a situation "that could not escape the administrators, accountants, experts of the Ingenium and Region fund", and "the investigation" to grant the money "was polluted".

During the hearing, Zualdi, who claimed to have acted only in the interest of the creditors, and Zedda himself spoke: the representative of the Giunta rejected all accusations and stressed that in that case he had no investigative or decision-making power and that his relationship with Mallus was only institutional and political, while that with Bonanni was necessary: he managed European funds and was asked to use that instrument in an appropriate way to the advantage of Sardinian companies. Among other things, Mallus "expressed the will to take care of companies in liquidation and to provide work to unemployed people".
