«Come and live in Loceri»: the Municipality's initiatives to combat depopulation

In Loceri the watchword is "encourage the return to the town" and to ensure that more and more people live in the Ogliastra town, the Municipality offers incentives for new residents and for the purchase of a first home. Not only that: there are also baby bonuses and support for those who open a business.

«A rain of resources - say the administrators - to reverse a trend which, very often, is strengthened by the lack of services and which instead promises a better quality of life and support measures for families, young people and businesses. The measures are intended for all citizens and new residents and come from regional, state, European and municipal funds.

Here are what they are in detail:

• For all citizens: the baby bonus provided for by the Region's provision establishes the disbursement of contributions in favor of resident families or those who transfer their residence to Loceri (and to one of the 275 Sardinian municipalities with a population of under 3 thousand inhabitants). The measure allows families, even made up of a single parent, to receive a monthly allowance of 600 euros for the first child born, adopted or in pre-adoption foster care in 2022, and 400 euros for each subsequent child up to the fifth birthday. year of age. The provision will be governed by the entry into force of the 2023 stability law.
• Contributions to citizens willing to renovate their homes, through the “Progetto Colore” initiative.
• For new residents: exemption from reimbursement of building rights, the initiative was created to encourage people to return to the village and provides for further other contributions that go to encourage both restructuring thanks to the reimbursement for all those who decide to rearrange and build their own house in the municipal area.
• Discounts on the school canteen service for a period of five years.
• Initiatives aimed at identifying and making available building areas at a reduced price compared to current market prices.
• Initiatives aimed at the creation of Energy Communities with the aim of significantly reducing energy costs.
• Facilitations, through an agreement with the "Banca Etica", for the construction of photovoltaic systems on private buildings.
• Initiatives aimed at promoting the recognition of the favorable regime for natural persons with pension income of all kinds and comparable checks issued by foreign subjects who decide to transfer their residence to the municipality of Loceri.
• Identification and provision of offers of properties for sale or for rent.
• Availability, free of charge, of the services offered by the Municipal Information Office.

"Hardening the phenomenon of depopulation and reversing the sign of demographic flows - adds Mayor Gianfranco Lecca - is a priority for us which, today more than ever, after more than two years of the pandemic and in the light of current economic scenarios, must necessarily pass from support for families.
