Usb Sanità has submitted a request for access to the documents of the project for the works that will affect the Businco operating rooms, and which will lead to their temporary closure. "Too many shadows and half-truths, this is why we thought it appropriate to ask for it", the complaint of the regional manager, Gianfranco Angioni. "In anticipation of the imminent start of the works, we were unable to find any document on the company notice board that identifies the project with the validation, executive, construction phase and with the work schedule. This is why we thought it appropriate, together with our RSU, to request access to the documents ".

The start of the work at Businco was scheduled for mid-November, then it was postponed to January. The end is set for June 2026, but the goal of Usb Sanità is to intervene immediately : «We are deeply concerned and convinced that without corrective measures that can identify different solutions to the transfer of the operating rooms it will be a disaster for patients and operators», warns Angioni. « The feeling now perceived is that they want to dismantle the Regional Oncology Center. This possibility must be averted ».

The union organization makes a proposal: "For us there are no doubts, the only possible alternative remains the arrangement of wing B located on the second floor of the Businco . Inside the area, now abandoned for over 5 years and used as a warehouse, there are about 500 square meters available that can be prepared for the use of various operating rooms also having the system for medical gases already completed". Usb Sanità announces that it is willing to go all the way, even representing the problem to the Public Prosecutor's Office. " We will continue with the fight and we will not allow cancer patients to suffer this umpteenth injustice ", concludes Angioni.
