This was reported by the presiding secretary of the Fit Cisl of Sulcis, Simone Atzori , who wrote to the prefect of Cagliari, to the top management of RFI and to Copma, the company that deals with cleaning at the Villamassargia station .

«While carrying out his work last morning, an operator was attacked, without any reason, by a man who was camping in the station. This - reports Atzori - is the second attack that workers working in the station have suffered, the first was the stabbing of a bar employee. The situation is no longer tolerable, we must not wait for a tragedy to occur to intervene ."

The FIT representative asks that «a guard be established to guarantee the safety of workers and travelers at all stations: Villamassargia, Iglesias and Carbonia».
