Nine years' imprisonment for aggravated robbery . This is the request made yesterday in court in Sassari by prosecutor Angelo Beccu against Claudio Dettori , for an affair dating back to January 2020.

According to the accusation, the 26-year-old, already sentenced to life imprisonment also in the appeal for the murder of Antonio Fara which occurred in 2021, entered together with accomplices, concealing himself with a balaclava and a neck warmer, into an apartment in via Catalocchino, immobilizing a young woman. who was in the building and then stealing a PC, a watch and a wallet . No sign of forced entry, as the public prosecutor recalled, because the man from Sassari would have used a pair of keys owned by the person who, until the day before, was hosting Dettori in that building. And that, after sending him away, he was never found again.

Both the neck warmer and the balaclava were found by the police in Dettori's house together with the watch, corroborating the evidence against him . "It could have been much worse" declared the prosecutor during the discussion, recalling the robbery and its aggravating circumstances, such as having acted misrepresented and in complicity.

For the defense lawyer Giuseppe Onorato there is no certainty about the responsibility of his client also due to the absence of specific tests on the balaclava and neck warmer which, in fact, demonstrated they had been used on the 2020 occasion. «There are only accusatory hypotheses - the lawyer stated - the fact has not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt."

The panel, chaired by judge Monia Adami, alongside Valentina Nuvoli and Paolo Bulla, adjourned until May for replies.
