Fatal accident shortly after 10.30 pm last night on the provincial road that leads from Carbonia to Villamassargia.
Marco Gessa, a thirty-eight year old from Domusnovas, died in the collision between a Lancia Y and a Doblò. A woman, Laura Deidda, 32, from Iglesias is also in serious condition.
The accident occurred in Tanì, in the Carbonia area , albeit on the border with Iglesias. In Provincial 2, in addition to the carabinieri, the firemen intervened, who extracted the victim from the metal sheets, and the 118 volunteers, who urgently transported the woman, unfortunately seriously injured, to the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari.
According to the first investigations, Gessa would have tried to avoid the carcass of a fox that was on the roadway by losing control of the car and invading the opposite lane.
