After fifty years cholera returns to Sardinia .

A pensioner from Arbus is hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Santissima Trinità hospital in Cagliari where the vibrio responsible for the infection has been isolated.

The patient - accompanied to the Is Mirrionis facility last Tuesday - is doing better and in the meantime clinical tests have been started on relatives who, fortunately, do not seem to have shown any symptoms.

The case of the elderly man from Arbus, who suffers from other pathologies, could therefore remain isolated .

In the town of Medio Campidano nobody wants to talk about the story: no comments in the Town Hall and maximum confidentiality waiting for the health situation to be clearer .
