They were accompanied to prison last night, after the notification of the sentence of the Court of Cassation. The parents and the aunt of the child from Arzachena , harassed to the limit of torture and segregated at home for months, will have to serve eight years in prison. The Supreme Court rejected the appeals of the lawyers of the three (the lawyers Angelo Merlini, Marzio Altana and Alberto Sechi) and thus the sentence of the Court of Appeal of Sassari (which confirmed that of the Court of Tempio) became definitive.

The child's parents and aunt (an employee from Olbia) were held responsible for kidnapping (the 11-year-old child was kept in a dark room for a long time) and for a long series of harassment and psychological abuse.

The little boy asked the Carabinieri for help and was released on the evening of 30 June 2019. The role of the aunt emerged later, a few months after the arrests of the victim's mother and father. The woman was attributed by the investigators the role of inspirer of the treatment inflicted on the child. The child's aunt believed that only through harassment and punishment of all kinds, the child could change his attitude.

A story that, according to the records of the investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of Olbia, lasted several years.

The three protagonists have been in the cells of the Bancali prison since last night.
