A 9-year-old boy who was with his parents visiting the island of Spargi , in the archipelago of the La Maddalena Park, was bitten by a wild boar on the beach of Cala Corsara .
The little boy was immediately rescued by the Coast Guard who transported the 118 volunteers to the island who took care of him. He was then transferred to the port of La Maddalena and then to the emergency room of the Paolo Merlo hospital where six stitches were needed .
According to an initial reconstruction reported by Ansa, the child was about to take a bath when, for reasons yet to be clarified, the wild boar pounced on him .
For some time now, several wild boars have been roaming the island, approaching tourists looking for food in their backpacks and coolers.
There are many videos on social media showing these wild animals, sometimes entire families with mothers and cubs in tow, trying to "steal" the food brought by tourists.
