Chia, a 17-year-old girl hit and injured by a migrant boat in Su Giudeu: it's serious
The young woman reportedly suffered several fractures and lost consciousness while in the water. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated.

A serious accident occurred this afternoon in the sea in front of the Su Giudeu beach, in Chia, a seaside resort of Domus de Maria.
A 17-year-old girl was struck by a small boat carrying about ten Algerian migrants while bathing near a buoy, sustaining multiple injuries . She reportedly suffered several fractures after being struck, and lost consciousness while in the water.
She was then reached by lifeguards who brought her to shore. The air ambulance landed on the beach for first aid , and then took off towards Brotzu, where the young woman arrived in critical condition with a red code.
It's also unclear whether the boat's pilot noticed the accident. According to several witnesses on the beach, the migrants realized they had hit the young woman but continued sailing.
The group of Algerians then landed in the town of Tuerredda where they were stopped by the Carabinieri who began identification procedures.
