Car-van collision on provincial road 2: an elderly couple injured

Yet another road accident on provincial road 2, between Carbonia and Villamassargia. Where shortly before 1pm, according to initial information, an Opel van , driven by a man, for reasons to be ascertained, rear- ended a Fiat Grande Punto . Both proceeded in the direction of Villamassargia.

The Grande Punto with an elderly couple on board , after the collision, crashed into the right side guardrail, and then ended the race in the center of its own lane, fortunately without crossing the double central line, where they should soon leave work on the traffic barrier.

The two elderly people were rescued by the 118 staff of the Sirai medical center and by the Solky rescue staff who took them to the nearby Sirai hospital.
