He flew thirty meters into an escarpment on state road 387, between Ballao and Villasalto, miraculously remaining almost unharmed.

The accident was allegedly caused by the driver falling asleep who would thus have lost control of his car which ended up on the guard rail, then in the escarpment.

Driving the car, an Opel, was a teacher from San Vito, Michele Cuccu, 32, who was almost unharmed. It was he who got out of the car and reached the road seeking help.

The young man was accompanied to the San Marcellino di Muravera hospital. Thankfully, nothing serious. The findings of the law were carried out by the Carabinieri mobile radio unit of the Compagnia di San Vito who acted under the command of Major Massimo Meloni.
