A serious road accident occurred this morning on the Provincial Road 91, in the territory of Capoterra, at the intersection with the locality of Forru Coccu. For reasons currently being investigated, a head-on collision occurred between two vehicles: a Ford Focus driven by a forty-seven-year-old and an Audi A1 driven by a thirty-one-year-old, both from Cagliari. The crash occurred at 5:30 am.

The two drivers were seriously injured. After being treated on site by medical personnel, they were taken to the hospital by 118 ambulances, both in red code: one to the University Hospital of Monserrato, the other to Brotzu. At the moment, their lives are not in danger .

The 4A emergency response team of the Cagliari city fire department also intervened on site. During their intervention, they helped one of the two injured people by freeing him from the passenger compartment of the car. The vehicles involved in the accident in Capoterra have been seized , while the Carabinieri present at the scene of the accident are currently carrying out investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident. The judicial authorities have also been informed.
