Cala Biriola: Two tourists get lost on the trail; firefighters rescue them.

Fear struck at Cala Biriola, along the Ogliastra coast, for two Tuscan tourists who got lost this afternoon on the path leading to the famous cove.

Around 2:30 PM, the two hikers, unable to find their way back, raised the alarm at the Nuoro fire brigade operations room.

The control center immediately activated the Drago helicopter of the Sardinia Flight Department, which took off to carry out the search.

The vehicle located the two tourists and rescued them , bringing them to safety. Both were in good health and did not require medical attention.
