Just built and already flooded by the first downpour.

The controversy over the bike lanes on Via Pergolesi in Cagliari continues, having been the focus of protests sparked by the opposition in the City Council, which sided with local shopkeepers.

"A few weeks ago, I raised the issue of the storm drains in the City Council, which were partially filled during the construction site," accuses Roberto Mura (Alleanza Sardegna). "Today, with the first rain, the storm drains and the rainwater drainage system respond like this."

The photo also shows a large puddle on the portion of the road reserved for bicycles: "Yet another injustice against the residents and businesses in the area," Mura concludes.
