It didn't take much (effort), in theory. But only in the last few days have the inhabitants of Castello and the frequenters of the historic Cagliari neighborhood been able to see workers at work on the ugly concrete slide on the stairs of the Bastione Saint Remy, on the side of via De Candia.

A legacy of an old construction site, which over the years had remained fenced off and had been progressively transformed into a landfill: an eyesore, which seemed to foreshadow what the conditions (of abandonment) would be like for what should be the most beautiful terrace in Cagliari.

Now, at the request of the Municipality, an intervention has been carried out that softens the aesthetic impact: the concrete ramp has been surrounded by a wooden structure and a flower box. And it has become usable thanks to the installation of a handrail. It didn't take much, in fact.
