The extension of the maritime state concession for the Alberti high school in Cagliari has arrived: the school will be able to remain in the building in viale Colombo, owned by the port authority, until 2027.

The decision came after several meetings between the Metropolitan City of Cagliari, the Authority, the Region's Department of Public Education and the Provincial School Office. In recent weeks, to avoid the risk of a transfer, a protest committee was created.

Also in 2022, students, parents and teachers had expressed their opposition with a sit in in Su Siccu. The stop to the concession was set for the end of 2024.

«The establishment of the table, proposed last March by the metropolitan city, proved to be a winning idea for reaching a shared solution», comments the metropolitan mayor Paolo Truzzu, «I thank all the parties involved who with a great sense of responsibility are made available to examine all possible avenues in order to guarantee educational continuity at the site for the next few years".

Satisfaction also on the part of the metropolitan councilor delegated for Public Education and School Buildings Alessandro Balletto: «It is a more than satisfactory and reasonable solution which will allow students already enrolled to complete the training cycle and the administration to find a new one in a reasonable time definitive placement at the institute".
