The operation started at dawn: agents of the Local Police of Cagliari , together with the Carabinieri , Guardia di Finanza and State Police under the coordination of the police headquarters, cleared the former school in via Abruzzi , in San Michele, occupied by several months by some people.

Everything went without problems: in the end , ten people were identified, both Italians and foreigners, all homeless . There are also women.

The gigantic building has been abandoned for some time and has been occupied several times. Inside, the old classrooms have been damaged and fixtures and other materials have been taken away over the years. Immediately afterwards, a company from the Municipality started work to close all the entrances, walling them up, and to fix the external wall.

In recent weeks there have been protests from residents of the area due to the continuous movements and the strange and suspicious activities that seem to take place inside.

The case has been raised several times by the city councilor Marcello Polastri , also president of the Heritage and Safety commission: now the request is that the building be monitored and recovered as soon as possible to avoid new occupations .
