The Chenàbura – Sardos Pro Israel association is organizing some demonstrations on the occasion of the anniversary of the Hamas attack of October 7th, defined as «the most terrible pogrom suffered by the Jews after the Holocaust, with 1200 deaths, 4834 wounded and the kidnapping of 252 hostages».
The pro-Israeli group from Cagliari "is preparing to remember that day by gathering in its headquarters in Cagliari at Via Lamarmora 88 together with friends and anyone who wants to join and express a thought or a sign of solidarity in favor of the victims and hostages still under the tunnels built by Hamas with the deliberate intent of destroying, together with other extremist groups financed by Iran, the State of Israel and its people", reads a note.
The association adds that "Israel and its army have been fighting against that wicked project for a year, legitimately, as also stated by illustrious members of the Italian army at the conference held in Rome entitled "The pogrom of 7 October 2023 and the Israeli response according to international law", organized by the Savona-based association Italy-Israel and the Federation of Italy-Israel Associations".
Despite international condemnation and accusations from the International Criminal Court against the Tel Aviv government over the tens of thousands of deaths caused in the Gaza Strip , Sardos Pro Israel maintains that all investigations are unfounded.
«The commemorations of those tragic events will begin on October 6th starting at 10 am with a guided tour that will end at the Muce, the small Museum of Jewish Culture and will continue on the 7th with another Tour of the Jewish community that will stop at the Garden of the Righteous in via Genovesi, 114 where a plaque has been placed in memory of the pogrom of October 7th, thanks to the tireless work of the Chenàbura association that will await the participants of the tour at its headquarters»
On October 7th, at the association's headquarters "a day of reflection and recollection will be held and starting at 5pm, documentaries and films will be shown to commemorate that tragic day, there will be live links with Israel."
