Road accidents on the increase, unfortunately including fatal ones. For this reason, information and prevention become fundamental, especially with messages aimed at children and young people.

Thus, the event "Shopping safely" took place at the Cagliari Fair, organized by the Sardinian Traffic Police department in the presence of 800 students from various Sardinian schools. "Life is one. Protect her and defend her”, were the words of Omar Zaher, Najibe's father, in remembering his daughter who was the victim of the car accident on 10 September in Viale Marconi.

"When you drink or are tired, don't drive but call your parents or use public transport." A strong message together with that of experts, institutions and agents working in this sector. "Because life must be protected," explained Giovanni Marziano, regional director of the Traffic Police. "Unfortunately, road accidents are the first cause of death in the new generations", reiterated Filiberto Mastrapasqua, national director of the Traffic Police service.

"Serious accidents could have been avoided with greater caution", underlined the police commissioner of Cagliari, Rosanna Lavezzaro. Anas Sardinia, Aci, Fiab of Cagliari, the “Franco di Suni” National Autodrome of Mores and the Health Emergency Service were present at the event. Stands were set up with traffic police cars and motorbikes, circuits for driving simulations and a route to be covered by bike. A simulation of a serious accident was also carried out with the rescue services. The schools that participated in the competition on the representation of the best messages on road safety were then rewarded.
