He was still driving. Even if on February 1, 2022 he had overwhelmed and killed little Daniele Ulver, in via Cadello: the little one was in the stroller pushed by his mother, on the strips, when a scooter had mowed them down. And even then he had his license revoked, like now ( HERE THE NEWS ).

Emilio Pozzolo, 38, was stopped today in via Is Maglias by agents of the Emergency Unit of the Local Police of Cagliari. He tried to flee on foot but was stopped and identified.

His license had been revoked in 2017: he has now been reported to the judicial authority for recurring driving without a license over a two-year period. The vehicle he was driving was confiscated.

Pozzolo is currently subjected to the precautionary measure of the obligation to present himself to the judicial police: he is awaiting trial for the death of little Daniel.

The thirty-eight-year-old had also escaped on February 1st: after the accident he had tried to lose track of him, and then handed himself over to the traffic police.

«The Local Police of Cagliari – the post on social media by the mayor Paolo Truzzu – has stopped the man who killed little Daniel on the pedestrian crossing again at the wheel. No one will give Daniel back to his family but I hope it will help restore at least some justice. Dedicated to those who do not respect the rules think they can always get away with it. Heartfelt thanks to the boys of the Local Police ».
