She was putting away some of her deceased husband's personal effects when she suddenly made a surprising (and dangerous) discovery: a 35 mm caliber bullet, never confiscated, of Austrian production, dating back to the First World War, in an excellent state of preservation.

The protagonist of the story was an 83-year-old woman from Cagliari, who immediately alerted the police at the Villanova station in Via Nuoro.

The military then took delivery of the bullet, which the man had probably kept as a "souvenir", which was analyzed by the bomb squad of the Provincial Command and classified as a cannon shot complete with semi-perforating cartridge case dating back to the Great War.

Now the bullet is safely stored and will soon be destroyed by the bomb squad themselves.
