Fear of a 71-year-old man, transported in code red to the Brotzu hospital after being run over by a car while crossing downtown on the pedestrian crossing in Cagliari.

The accident took place shortly after 7 pm, in via Roma near the Rinascente.

The man was violently thrown onto the asphalt. The driver of the car stopped to help him.

Municipal police officers and a 118 ambulance then arrived on the scene and transported the injured to hospital. His conditions are serious.
