Cagliari, motorbike catches fire after the crash on the 195: Stefano Sias dies, he was 31 years old

He was going to work on his Honda along the state road 195 , in the four-lane stretch of Cagliari towards Capoterra, when, for reasons to be clarified, he hit a lorry : a 31-year-old from Bonorva, Stefano Sias , ended up on the ground and the motorbike caught fire. There was nothing that could be done for the young worker and the rescue efforts by the 118 operators were useless.

Yet another road tragedy occurred this morning around 6.45 am . At kilometer 7 of state road 195 there was an impact between a motorbike and a lorry. The two vehicles were proceeding in the same direction. The Honda caught fire after the collision.

In addition to the 118 personnel, the firefighters intervened and put out the fire. Unfortunately , the driver of the motorbike died practically instantly: he was headed to the Sarroch area where he worked at Cosatec, a Saras contractor . The 54-year-old who was driving the truck was uninjured. The officers of the Local Police of Cagliari are working to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident.

The young man's body was taken to the San Michele cemetery, where recognition was made by his family. Motorcycle and truck are seized.

The road was closed until just before 11am with traffic, in the direction of Capoterra, diverted into the industrial area of Macchiareddu passing through the road that leads to the Conti Vecchi salt pans. Inconvenience for hundreds of people is inevitable .
