Outside dozens of motorcycles, inside the church hundreds of relatives and friends with broken hearts. It was immediately clear that Matteo Demuro, the 36-year-old who died Saturday in a motorcycle accident on state road 125 , was a much-loved person.

The church of the Miraculous Medal, in Cagliari, was not enough to accommodate all those who decided to pay their last respects. The silence and emotion were interrupted at the end of the funeral ceremony when the friends' motorcycles followed the hearse that was transporting the body to the nearby cemetery of San Michele.
